EVALUATION OF SHEAR BOND STRENGTH OF DIFFERENT RESIN CEMENTS AFTER ZIRCONIA SURFACE TREATMENTS

Purpose: The aim of the study was to evaluate shear bond strength (SBS) different resin cements after zirconia surface treatments. Materials & Methods: A total 60 discs (3x7mm) were prepared and divided into 3 main groups according treatments as control (C), sandblasting (SB), tribochemical silica coating (TC). Main two subgroups applied. No treatment applied samples in C group. 50μm Al2O3 particles SB group for 10 s at a distance mm under 4 atm. TC tribochemically coated with alumina particles. Self-adhesive (ME) multi-system dual-cure adhesive (NX3) subgroups. After cementation, all tested SBS. SBS values statistically analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis Mann-Whitney U tests. Results: Regardless cement type, treated (p <0.001). Group determined highest value. This followed TC, respectively. significantly (p<0.001). cemented NX3 found be higher than ME cement. Conclusion: increased zirconia. It is more advantageous use dual cure cementation.
